Jo has worked in the music publishing and production business for over 20 years. Prior to starting Trackdown Music in 1997, she had worked for Fireworks Music since it started in 1984. During that time Fireworks built up a large film and television publishing catalogue, and produced over 80 albums for library production use. Jo was responsible for administering the company’s activities including the co-ordination of all projects in production, from budgeting through to delivery and beyond, including preparation of writer contracts, arrangement of recording sessions, registration of copyrights, royalty collection and accounting. She has also organised several major concerts, one of which was showcased at Canterbury Festival.
For several years, Jo also provided a licensing and administration service to Strongsongs, a popular music publisher.
In 1998, Jo set up the library production and publishing company, Shake Up Music, in partnership with film composer, Rupert Gregson-Williams. Shake Up has to date produced over 80 library albums released on the KPM label and publishes the music to several high-profile TV series and films.
